Virginia Lawyer Tapped for Leadership Roles in Association of Trial Lawyers of America; Trial Lawyer

Stephen M. Smith, a nationally recognized expert in traumatic brain injury litigation, has been selected for board positions with the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and the Trial Lawyers for Public Justice.

Smith, founder of the Brain Injury Law Center, and a partner in the Hampton firm of Joseph Smith Ltd., was elected at ATLA’s annual meeting in Montreal, Canada, in July to serve on the executive board of the Traumatic Brain Injury Litigation Group, the governing body for brain injury litigation for the 56,000-plus membership organization.

Also at the Montreal meeting, Smith was elected to the board of directors of the Trial Lawyers for Public Justice.
